The film is full of great performances and even convinced people, for a moment, that Chris O'Donnell could act. I always admired the way the director, Paul Brickman, allowed his heroine to just climb under the duvet in the middle of the film and just.stay there. It is an honest account of depression and a family in crisis - not along the lines of Cassavetes - but still authentic. (Though what do I know, I always kind of liked Tim Robbins' The Cradle Will Rock.)Īnd, of course, Men Don't Leave is a brilliant film that should be seen. Anyone suggesting Synecdoche, New York should be ignored. I didn't enjoy it, it's a bit one-note.Įternal Sunshine is wonderful, so well put together. Waiting For Guffman has its fans, though it seems a bit cruel in spirit. Welcome To The Dollhouse and Happiness are absolute must sees, even the recent sequel to Happiness was worth a look.

Mit dem Gebude verbinden ihn unvergessliche Jugenderinnerungen, die als Rckblende an ihm vorberziehen. I've heard very good things about Frozen River. Der Mittfnfziger Hugo, mit Exzellenz angeredet und somit offenbar eine politische Autoritt, besichtigt die prachtvolle Villa, die er geerbt hat und einer kulturellen Organisation berschreiben will. In its favour I would say I've never felt the need to see it again, it was that memorable, but I don't know if it was a completely satisfying dramatic experience. If you lived in the UK you would've seen Strange Days by now because it's on tv just about every other week. Most of the films mentioned on this thread are just plain bad to middling rubbish.
